The man with the blue guitar is very interesting. Picasso's drawing is somewhat different. The guitar man is I think starving, he is so thin and his head is down.

This was a very interesting read, Garnet, especially for one not familiar with tagging, although I am a phenomenal reader and purchaser of books. My wife and I will never die rich!

Hi Garnet,

Like the colours and patterns of the antique quilts you collect, I relish reading the way you artfully weave words together with aplomb.

I'm delighted StormWind tagged you. This post was an education and a treat. I share that spontaneous method of finding/discovering a book I'm interested in among the stacks of the library. I'm plopped on the floor, too, eagerly reading and anticipating the treats I'll cart home.

I'll check out the others you tagged in addition to G's site that I already love. (It may take me until July. My daughter has the nerve to graduate high school, putting a cramp on my blogging time. I say that with glistening love in my eyes. I tried writing a poem to her and posted it, but I yearn for a live writer's group, because I have much to learn!)

Alas no, I've had it for several years and it's on my To-Read pile.

The wine was probably a shiraz of some sort.

The glasses are my old pair. They have a better frame for casting the shadows I wanted.

The photo was taken as part of a photo project for gaybloggers.tribe.net

Thr colours of my website were picked out of the photo, including the different shares of red.

Stormwind-I don't usually keep a list, because it hampers the spontaneous appearance of the right book. That's why I like libraries. I can plop down in the stacks and follow my nose to something new, something which feels and sounds right. I'll usually read the first few paragraphs and know.

One book I didn't mention, but which I love, is Richard Bach's "Illusions". In it he says that if you imagine what you want or need, it will appear. I'm not really a believer in those kinds of things, but I think if we are free of burdens, we will see more clearly the opportunities presented to us. Things do have a way of appearing when needed.

Brian- So did you read that book? And what kind of wine was in that glass?
