David Salvage’s sent me his jazzy “Swing Tones” when he wrote it in 2006. I finally decided to play it on a recital this weekend. Here is a run through from last week played in my practice room, in front of my psychedelic orange Hawaiian quilt.

Swing Tones, interesting title for a classical piece. What a wonderful facility you have with the clarinet. I listened to the video repeatedly. Very nice and thanks for sharing.
I love this piece. It’s so playful that I don’t think it would mind knowing that the first thing that came to mind was the theme song of the Flintstones, esp. in the first minute of the piece. Great quilt choice to accompany it, too.
